The Seahawks posted the team's fifth shutout of the season, defeating the Thomas Night Hawks, 2-0, on Saturday morning from Arrigo-Vecellio Field. The win marked the fourth straight for the Seahawks, who sit atop the Sun Conference Standings. 


.How it Happened
  • During the first 45 minutes of action, neither team was able to get on the scoreboard.
  • Keiser held a 10-5 edge in shots during the first half, forcing TU goalkeeper Stephen Douglas to make four saves.
  • The Seahawks broke the scoreless tie with a goal by Julius Fassbinder in the 51st minute.
  • The KU defender one-timed a shot off a save by Douglas for his second goal of the season.
  • Luca Malvicini, who took the initial shot, resulting in the save, was credited with his second assist of 2021.
  • Malvicini gave the Seahawks a 2-0 advantage in the 84th minute, scoring his team-leading sixth goal of the season.
  • The freshman forward scored on an open net after Nick Akoto got past TU's keeper on a breakaway. Akoto notched his third assist of the season on the goal.
  • The Seahawks limited the Night Hawks to just five shots (one on net) in the second half), resulting in the shutout victory.
  • Goalkeeper Dario Salzer (2-0-0, 0.50 GAA) picked up his second win of the season and first shutout of 2021.
  • The clean sheet was the third of Salzer's career.
  • For the match, KU held a 27-10 edge in total shots and a 10-3 advantage in shots on goal.
