No. 22 Keiser men's soccer sailed past Trinity Baptist, 12-1, in the 2020 season opener on Tuesday afternoon in West Palm Beach.
How it Happened
- The Seahawks notched the opening goal of the 2020 campaign in the seventh minute as Adrian Camacho Castro volleyed a through ball to Ciro Damine, who one-timed it into the back of the net.
- Not even two minutes later, the duo connected again as Keiser led 2-0.
- KU made it 3-0 in the 15th minute when Cristobal Molina Campo headed the ball home off an excellent diagonal ball from Fernando Abreu.
- Trinity Baptist broke through in the 19th minute with a one-timer from the top of the box but trailed, 3-1.
- Damine picked up the hat-trick in the 25th minute with an unassisted goal, dispossessing the defense and beating the keeper to the far post.
- In the 31st minute, Damine bagged his fourth goal of the game, this time off an assist from Hannu Tam.
- A bicycle kick by Camacho Castro extended the margin to 6-1 in the 35th minute as Damine picked up his first assist of the game.
- Damine tied the goal record with three minutes remaining in the half, tallying his fifth goal of the game, upping the advantage to 7-1.
- Six minutes into the second half, Camacho Castro converted on a 25-yard free kick.
- Molina Campo bagged his second goal of the game in the 55th minute with a perfect bicycle kick off a deflected cross from the left side.
- Freshman, Alexander Steen scored the final three goals of the game as the Seahawks dominated in the season opener against Trinity Baptist, 12-1.
