The No. 7 Seahawks suffered a 4-3 setback against Bethune-Cookman on Wednesday afternoon. The loss was the first for the Seahawks in the 2020 campaign. Keiser tied the match on three occasions but were unable to overtake the Wildcats.

- Â No. 37 Gerard Andres Rodriguez tied the match for KU with a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Bianchi in the No. 5 position.
- Bethune-Cookman retook the lead after Linus Fleck fell in his season debut, 6-3, 6-0.
- The Seahawks retied the match when No. 42 Marrero toppled Lynch in the third slot, 6-2, 7-5.
- The Wildcats climbed back ahead of KU out of the fourth spot as No. 13 Turosienski dropped a three-set match, 2-6, 6-2, 6-3.
- Simkiss knotted the match at three-apiece, coming from behind to win, 6-7, 6-4, 6-2, setting up a winner take all match on court two.
- Keiser dropped their first match of the year after Barrios lost in the second slot, 4-6, 6-4, 2-6.

Daniel Finn said, "Today was a tough match for us as we couldn't come up with the big points when we needed them the most. We have a talented team that needs to come together and when we do, it'll be hard to beat us. Today will be a good learning lesson for us and we will get better as we move forward."

Keiser gets back into conference play on Saturday with a 2:00 p.m. match at Webber International.
