Keiser University suffered a tough 2-1 setback to St. Thomas in the Sun Conference Tournament Championship on Friday afternoon in West Palm Beach, Fla.
- Adrian Camacho Castro nearly gave Keiser their first lead of the game in the 12th minute as his free kick went through the keeper's hands and off the crossbar for a corner kick.
- The Bobcats converted on a corner kick in the 22nd minute as the Seahawks trailed for the first time this tournament, 1-0.
- Keiser held a narrow 6-5 advantage on shots in the opening half but trailed by one at the half.
- The Seahawks played a man down for the final 28 minutes of the contest as a player was sent off for a red card.
- STU extended their advantage in the 85th minute with an unassisted goal.
- Keiser never quit in the championship, however, as Esteban Aguilera scored his first goal of the season off a Camacho Castro corner kick in the 88th minute to trail 2-1.
- The scoreline stayed the same as the Seahawks suffered their first loss of the 2020 campaign to the Bobcats.
- The Seahawks fall to 10-9-6 all-time in postseason conference play and 3-5-0 in championship matches.
- The series with St. Thomas was evened up this afternoon, 15-15-2.
- Lucas Jacobs, Alejandro Varela Sabio, and Camacho Castro were named to the All-Tournament team.
- Felipe Godoy took the loss in the goal despite making a save.
