The Seahawks men's soccer team cruised past Johnson & Wales 6-1 to open Sun Conference play on Saturday afternoon.
How it Happened
- The game remained even through the opening 20 minutes as both teams combined for 15 shots, but none found the back of the net.
- Evan Finnegan scored the first goal of the game on a cross from Sebastian Espino, giving Keiser the 1-0 advantage.
- Espino extended the lead on a header off a free kick in the 34th minute which was taken by Noah Graziano.
- The Wildcats would trim the lead as Farid Sar Sar scored on a penalty kick in the 34th minute.
- However, the Seahawks got the goal back just two minutes later as Esteban Aguilera ripped a one-timer into the bac kof the net off a free kick by Graziano.
- KU continued to flex their muscles, scoring three goals in a three minute span to win by a final score of 6-1. In the stretch, Hannu Tam, Adrian Camacho Castro, and Giorgio Resnati tallied goals for the Seahawks.
