- For the second straight year, Keiser scored their first goal of the season on a penalty kick. This year it was converted by freshman, Adrian Camacho Castro.
- Baker's lone scoring chance came in the 10th minute but was scooped up by Ramon Talenti for his only save of the match.
- The Seahawks nearly doubled their lead in the 13th minute but Jake Stanton's shot went off the crossbar as Keiser held a 1-0 lead at the intermission.
- Baker out-shot KU 5-1 in the second half while KU held a 9-2 edge on shots in the first half.

Oldham said, "It's always good to get off to a good start to the season especially against a quality top ten program. The lads worked hard after a long travel day yesterday and some heavy legs but got the win and I'm proud of the effort they put in. We will rest and start the focus on the game on Wednesday which will be another tough one."
