How it Happened

• Warner used a two-out triple in the first to take a 1-0 lead but Keiser responded with five runs on five hits in the next half inning.
• The Seahawks loaded the bases with one-out when pinch hitter, Paige Boyle ripped a two run single center as Keiser took a 2-1 advantage. Test followed with an RBI double as the KU advantage increased to 3-1.
• After the Seahawks reloaded the bases with two-outs, Larrissa Ostrander connected on a two run single to right as the lead stood at 5-1.
• The Royals answered back in the bottom half with seven runs to go back on top 8-5 but Keiser posted three runs in the third on back-to-back two-out singles by Test and Blumberg as the game was tied at 8-8.
• Warner jumped back ahead in the fifth with four runs to lead 12-8 and kept KU off the board until the seventh.
• The Seahawks notched a final run in the seventh on a two-out RBI single to right-center by Test but Keiser fell 12-9.
