How it Happened
  • Southeastern scored the first run of the game in the third with back back-to-back doubles.
  • The Seahawks evened the score in the bottom half on a sacrifice fly to left by Miller, scoring Troiana Test, who reached on a one-out double and then stole third.
  • Keiser threatened in the fifth with runners on second and third with two-outs but Miller lined out to second for the final out.
  • The Fire had a chance to reclaim the lead the sixth on a single to center but Harrel was thrown out at home by Heather Mueller as the game remained tied at one-apiece.
  • After neither team tallied a hit in the seventh, the contest went into extra innings, where the international tiebreaker was in affect.
  • SEU was unable to score in the top half of the inning despite having a runner on third with two-outs as Holcomb was thrown out at first by right fielder, Test.
  • With Lexi Northway placed on second, Test laid down a perfect sacrifice bunt, which was misplayed by the Fire third basemen, allowing the Seahawks to have runners on the corners with nobody-out.
