Sixth Inning Magic
The Seahawks took the lead in the sixth, scoring six of their eight runs on six hits.

How it Happened
  • Ave Maria scored three runs in the first with two-outs to lead 3-0.
  • Janelle Dominguez doubled to center field in the second inning, plating Larrissa Ostrander, who reached base on a walk, as Keiser trailed 3-1.
  • The Gyrenes would add four more runs, two in third and two in the fourth, increasing the margin to 7-1.
  • KU grabbed a run in the fifth on an Avery Miller single to center scoring Northway who reached on a single to make it 7-2.
  • In the sixth, with two outs, back-to-back RBI singles from Northway and Test pushed across two runs made it a three-run game.
  • Miller drew a walk to load the bases when Cheyenne Blumberg cleared the bases with a triple to right, tying the game at 7-7. Ostrander would then single to right giving Keiser the 8-7 advantage.

How it Happened
  • The Gyrenes took a 1-0 lead in the second on a single to left and the score remained the same until the seventh inning.
  • Cheyenne Blumberg reached base on a single through the left side before advancing to second on a sac bunt. Janelle Dominguez evened the contest on a double while advancing to third on the throw home.
  • Ally Thompson gave KU the 2-1 lead with a sacrifice fly to left plating Dominguez.
  • Ave Maria had their first runner reach base, but Green retired the next three batters to secure the win.
