Keiser Highlights
  • The Seahawks recorded seven hits in the game with Miller and Ostrander notching the only extra-base hits.
  • Test and Lexi Northway each swiped two bases during the contest.
  • Alexandra Lutz tossed two shutout innings before handing the ball off to Green. Green threw the final five innings to receive the win.

Key Play
Miller's double in the seventh inning was the difference in the contest, as the senior drove in three runs to give the Seahawks a 4-0 advantage.

How it Happened
  • In the first, Warner nearly took the lead with two runners in scoring position an-out, but Lutz retired the next two batters to keep the game scoreless.
  • The game remained a stalemate until the fifth when a two-out fielding error on the Royals allowed Northway to score for a 1-0 advantage.
  • Keiser then broke the game open in the seventh with four runs on four hits and one error.
  • Megan Carver led off with a single to right-center and moved to second on a Mueller sacrifice bunt. After Northway reached on an error by the pitcher, she immediately stole second, and Test followed with a single to short to load the bases.
  • Miller then emptied the bases with a huge double to left-center as the Seahawks advantage grew to 4-0. Following a fly out to right, Ostrander ripped a double to right-center as the Keiser now led 5-0.
  • Warner wouldn't go down easily as they loaded the bases with two-outs. An error on Green and a single to third allowed two runs to cross the plate as the margin shrunk to 5-2.
  • However, Green got Shell to strike out looking as the Seahawks earned the doubleheader split, 5-2.
