The Keiser University spirit team competed for the first time in program history at nationals for dance and cheer.

At nationals, the categories includes; dance, hip hop, and cheer. The Seahawks were the only team that had the same team in all three categories. Keiser placed third in dance, second in hip hop, and were the national champions for cheer.

The Seahawks competed against a number of team including; Gannon University, UNC Pembroke, Sienna Heights, University of Dubuque, and East Carolina University.

Head Coach Laura Pucker said, "Such an exciting weekend and the team was amazing. It was a roller coaster ride but with hard work, perseverance, and determination, we came away with high flying results!

Pucker would like to like to extend thanks to, "Choreographers John Derrick Williams & Mikayla Abee, our DJ Mark B-Fresh Bryan, and Keiser Flagship Keiser University & Keiser Athletics.
