KU HIGHLIGHTS
- The contest was a rematch of the opening round game in last year's NAIA Invitational, but this time Keiser came out on top in decisive fashion.
- It was Keiser's fourth win so far in 2019 over an opponent ranked in the NAIA Top-10.
- The Seahawks scored 11 unassisted goals and also dished out seven assists, just under the team's average of nine per game which ranks No. 3 in the NAIA.
- Three different players notched hat-tricks in Se'Anna Beikirch, Maria Johnson, and Hayley Mazreku. Johnson's three scores tied her career-high mark.
- Freshmen Melanie Brown and Valeria Lomaglio each led KU with four points against the Blue Devils with two goals and two assists.
- Keiser came away with goals on 5-of-6 free-position shots.
- 15 of the 25 draw controls went the way of Keiser, with Johnson and Madalyn Huber collecting four apiece.
- Jessica Covell earned her sixth win in net on the season, making two saves.
TURNING POINT
Keiser trailed by a score of 3-2 just over six minutes into the game, but found a rhythm and proceeded to rattle off ten unanswered goals to go in front 12-3 and seize firm control of the matchup.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The visitors came out and produced the opening two goals within the first two minutes of the game, but Cat Raymond and Johnson got Keiser on the board to draw even at the 26:37 mark.
- After a Blue Devil goal made it 3-2, the Seahawks proceeded to take control.
- Raymond knotted it up at 3-3 with her second unassisted goal, which proved to be the start of a 10-0 run for the Seahawks all the way up until Mazreku's goal to complete her hat-trick on a dish from Brown with 2:20 to play until the halftime whistle.
- Lawrence Tech cashed in on an opportunity with just 35 seconds left in the half, and the two teams entered halftime with Keiser leading 12-4.
- Instead of allowing Lawrence Tech back into it, the Seahawks put their foot on the pedal and produced the second half's first four goals to establish the largest advantage of the game, 16-4 with 14:29 on the clock. Johnson had two goals during that stretch of play to lead KU.
- After the Blue Devils were able to convert and make it 16-5, Lomaglio had two consecutive impressive unassisted scores. The second one came at the 5:30 mark on a nifty cut, spin, and fire from the right side with 5:30 to play.
- Lawrence Tech scored with 1:20 remaining to account for the final score of 18-6, as the Seahawks celebrated the team win that saw multiple key contributors play their part.

Lauren Bennett. We followed our game plan and worked fully as a team today! Not only did we convert on the offensive end, we had some defenders step up and lock down LTU's top attackers. Our team's heart, determination and hustle really shined through today. We are excited to get after it again tomorrow against Nyack."
