Boyd Named Sun Conference Men's Cross Country Champion of Character

Keiser University men's cross country runner, Isaiah Boyd was named the 2019 Sun Conference Champions of Character winner.

Boyd exemplifies all five core values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship and servant leadership on a daily basis during practices, competition, in the classroom, and in the community.

As the lone upperclassman of the men's team, Boyd took on a big role on the athletic side to lead all the freshman to be gentlemen through is actions and encouragement. He has been involved on campus by helping all freshman move into their dorms at the start of the year. In addition, he is one of the main math tutors and is a student ambassador.

Boyd also led the team in community service hours with a total of 12. The community service hours included; helping a local elementary school in their PE classes and teaching about the importance of a college education. He also helped the local Salvation Army with their food organization and distribution to the less needy in the community. Lastly, he helped out at the local YMCA, cleaning out storage rooms and prepping for their big Thanksgiving meal they offer to the community.

On top of all of his leadership, Boyd has maintained a 3.30 GPA in the classroom. Truly a leader and prime candidate for us to represent Keiser University Men's Cross Country's Champion of Character.
