Men's Soccer Falls to Florida Atlantic in Exhibition, 5-2

The Keiser men's soccer team dropped an exhibition match to NCAA Division 1, Florida Atlantic 4-2 on Friday evening. The Seahawks led 2-1 at the intermission but it was all FAU in the second half.

How it Happened
  • The Seahawks struck first in the 21st minute as Miguel Cruz Zarraluqui scored off a great pass from Ciro Damine.
  • Florida Atlantic needed just five minutes to draw even as Jose Alastuey found the back of the net off an assist from Joe O'Sullivan.
  • Cruz Zarralugui tacked on his second goal of the game in the 35th minute off an assist from Noah Graziano as the Seahawks jumped back in front of the Owls, 2-1.
  • The score line held as the game entered the halftime break despite FAU outshooting Keiser, 10-4.
  • FAU scored goals in the 50th and 58th minutes to claim their first lead of the night, 3-2. The Owls tacked on goals in the 86th and 88th minute to hand Keiser the 5-2 exhibition loss in Boca Raton.

Game Notes
  • This was the first-ever meeting between these programs.
  • Tonight's game was an exhibition for the Seahawks but a regular season match for the Owls.
  • Cruz Zarraluqui had two of the Keiser shots in the contest. David Cruz and Damine had the other ones.
  • The Seahawks used three goalies this evening with each playing approximately 30 minutes. Felipe Godoy finished with four saves, Ramon Talenti had three, and Joan Carles Perez had one.
