The second-ranked Seahawks women's swimming team started off their 2019 portion of the schedule by splitting a double-dual meet in Savannah, Georgia. Keiser defeated Thomas University but fell to the top-ranked Bees of SCAD-Savannah.

Women's Highlights

• Stefania Sofouli claimed the top spot in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:57.12. She also teamed up with Anna Lofton, Kodi Cabral, Kamryn Gallowich for a runner-up finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:41.96.
• The 400-yard freestyle relay team of Lofton, Anna Herbst, Ori Freibach, and Emma Sofie Augustsson finished as the runner up with a time of 4:06.35.
• Lofton, Augustsson, and Annamaria Zombai all had runner-up finishes, with Lofton in the 200-yard butterfly (2:15.96), Augustsson in the 50-yard freestyle (25.45), and Zombai in the 200-yard IM (2:17.63).
• The Seahawks finished second and third in the 200-yard backstroke with Kristan Gaja (2:13.77) and Gallowich (2:14.07).
• Both Sofouli and Zombai again finished in third; with Sofouli in the 500-yard freestyle (5:24.47) and Zombai in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:36.18).

Coach's Corner
Head Coach Adam Epstein said, "All the credit to SCAD today as they put together a great line up and swam really well. The first meet back over winter break is always a tough one. Hopefully, this meet lights a spark for both our Men's and Women's teams and allows us to refocus on our goals. We will learn from this and move forward as we get into championship season next month."
