Keiser Highlights
  • Eleven different Seahawks recorded a goal, while six Keiser players finished with multi-goal performances during their dominating season-opening win.
  • Hayley Mazreku led the way with a program-best seven goals, including the season-opening goal. Mazreku also set the program-record for points in a game with eight.
  • Cat Raymond and Kyli Towner finished with three goals apiece.
  • KU assisted on 12 of their goals with Casey Sprague, Raymond, and Towner finishing with two assists apiece.
  • The Seahawks held a 15-3 advantage on draw controls with Madalyn Huber coming away with nine of them.
  • Three different players saw time inside the cage with Mickey Sherrill getting the start and making three saves.

Turning Point
The Seahawks offensive dominance proved to be the difference this afternoon as Keiser scored 23 unanswered goals before Truett-McConnell netted their lone goal with 2:01 left in the contest.

How it Happened
  • The Seahawks scored 11 goals in the opening ten minutes of the contest to take a commanding 11-0 advantage.
  • Keiser tacked on four more goals in the final 20 minutes of the opening period to take a 15-0 lead into the half.
  • KU wouldn't let up in the new half as they found the back of the net eight times to extend their advantage to 23-0 with two minutes left in the contest.
  • The Bears then ruined the shutout with their lone goal of the contest, but Mazreku capped the scoring with 32 seconds left, lifting Keiser to the 24-1 victory.
