The Keiser University spirit squad competed in the Diamond Cheer and Dance Christmas Championship at the Palm Beach Convention Center on Saturday morning. 

The Seahawks placed first in their age group and finished as Grand Champions after scoring 223.3. The routine consisted of jazz, pom, and hip hop elements.

Head Coach Laura Pucker said on the accomplishment, "This was our first competition and our goal was to perform well. Not only did we do that, but we received a coveted bid to diamond cheer and dance national championships. So proud of the kids for working hard since we only have been in existence for two years. Go SEAHAWKS!"
 
Keiser now receives an automatic entry into the finale which will take place in Jackson, Fla. in May of 2019.
