The Keiser University men's soccer team shutout Webber 2-0 in their 2018 regular season finale on Saturday afternoon. With the victory, KU improved to 10-3-2 overall and 6-2-1 in Sun Conference play. The Seahawks will now await their quarterfinal matchup for Saturday, Nov. 3.

Stat of the Match
Keiser possessed the ball for the majority of the contest as the Seahawks outshot the Warriors 19-7 and 8-1 on shots on goal.

How it Happened
  • The opening half was a stalemate despite the Seahawks outshooting the Warriors 10-4.
  • Keiser broke through in the 60th minute as Sebastian Espino found the back of the net off a tremendous cross from Luca Bargiggia.
  • The margin was doubled in the 77th minute when Ciro Damine tallied his 23rd goal of the season off a long ball from Dean Russell.
  • The Seahawks defense would see the rest of the game out as Keiser recorded their second shutout of the year.

  • Damine became the single-season goal leader with his second-half tally, surpassing Joonas Sikala's total in 2008.
  • The Seahawks set the single-season goal record this afternoon with 60 on the year, surpassing the previous mark of 58, set in 2008.
  • Keiser moved to 14-5-0 all-time against the Warriors of Webber International.
  • Joan Carles Perez picked up his second shutout of the season after making one save.
  • Espino had a game-best five shots while Damine had three.
