The Keiser men's soccer team defeated Johnson & Wales University 2-1 in double overtime on Saturday afternoon. Ciro Damine slotted home the game-winner in the 108th minute.

The Seahawks played lockdown defense in both overtimes holding Johnson & Wales to zero shots while taking six shots of their own.
 
How it Happened
  • The game remained scoreless throughout the first half as both teams combined to take 14 shots with the Seahawks leading the way with eight.
  • Freshman, forward, Damine got Keiser on the board in the 53rd minute, as he received a give-and-go on a breakaway from Isaias Lobos following a Wildcat turnover at midfield.
  • Johnson & Wales evened the score with 27 seconds left in regulation as Patricio Rolon took a one-timed free kick to the far post off a feed from Valentin Salinas.
  • The Seahawks won the game in the 108th minute as Damine beat the keeper to the far post off assists from Lobos and Amine Meski.

  • Damine ties Marcus Johansson for second most goals in a season with 18 and moves into sole possession of fourth most goals in a career passing Baldvin Olafsson who had 17.

Coach Gavin Oldham said "Good to see our guys grind out the victory when needed. Obviously, a little bit frustrating to give away goal with 27 seconds left in regulation, but the guys were able to dig deep and continued competing. We will rest and get ready for our next game coming up and look forward to ending the regular season by maintaining our momentum into the postseason."
