Game One
Keiser Highlights
  • The first four hitters in the Seahawks batting order recorded a hit in the contest.
  • Garceau and Brodbeck each had one stolen base.
  
Turning Point
The turning point of the game was the big third inning in which Ave Maria scored four runs to take the lead for good.
 
How it Happened
  • Keiser took an early 1-0 lead in the first on an RBI single to right center by Avery Miller, plating Kelsey Brodbeck who led off the game with a walk.
  • Ave Maria had a chance to the tie game in the bottom half but Kalie Romig was thrown out at home trying to score off a first and third steal attempt. However, the Gyrenes did tie it on a passed ball, one batter later.
  • Kristen Garceau began the third with a single to left and then stole second. After a groundout to second, moved her to third, Cassidy Miller plated her with an RBI single.
  • The Gyrenes took their first lead of the game in the third with a four-run inning at 5-2, and wouldn't relinquish the advantage down the stretch.

Game Two

  • Garceau was a perfect 4-4 at the plate with two triples and two runs batted in.
  • Jones, Blumberg, and Aquaria Baines all had two hits in the game.
  • Allison picked up the win, throwing a complete game with two strikeouts.
 
Turning Point
The turning point of the game was the two run triple by Jones in the third that gave the Seahawks the lead back at 4-2.
 
How it Happened
  • Garceau tripled to lead off the contest and scored on an RBI groundout to second by Brodbeck, to lead 1-0.
  • C. Miller upped the margin to 2-0 on a one-out solo homerun down the left field line.
  • Ave Maria cut the deficit in half during the second on a throwing error by the catcher after a sacrifice bunt. The Gyrenes then tied it on a one-out RBI single by Meghan Sullivan.
  • In the third, Garceau singled and then stole second. After a groundout moved her to third, and C. Miller walked, Dajia Jones cleared the bases with a triple to lead 4-2.
  • Garceau upped the margin to 6-2 in the fourth, on a two-out triple, pushing Troiana Test across who had walked.
  • The Seahawks then tacked on three more runs in the sixth. A pair of singles by Brodbeck and Garceau along with an error, allowed Keiser to load the bases. A sacrifice fly by C. Miller made it 7-2, and a two-run RBI single by Cheyenne Blumberg made it 9-2.
  • However, Ave Maria plated one last run in the seventh on a solo homerun, but fell by a final of 9-3.
