How it Happened
- The Seahawks had an early scoring opportunity in the first with Garceau on third and two-outs but Geneva Santos got Blumberg to fly out to center.
- Barry wasted no time getting on the board, plating four runs in the bottom of the first for a 4-0 advantage.
- The Buccaneers then tacked on two runs in the second and three in the third for a 9-0 lead.
- Keiser threatened in the fourth, with runners on second and third, and two-outs, but Troiana Test grounded out to the shortstop, to end the inning.
- Barry upped the margin to 11-0 in the fourth when they pushed two more runners across.
- The Seahawks scored their lone run of the game in the fifth on an RBI single up the middle by Blumberg, scoring Bermari Figueroa, who led off with a single up the middle.

- Keiser outhit Barry 13-10, led by three from Garceau and Figueroa. Blumberg and Nicholas also had multi-hit performances.

Turning Point
The turning point in the game came in the bottom of the eighth inning when the Seahawks defense unraveled. After Barry had a runner placed on second due to international tiebreaker, a three base throwing error tied the game. After two intentional walks, a passed ball allowed the game winning run to come in.

How it Happened
- The Seahawks jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first on a pair of RBI singles.
- Garceau started it with a one-out single up the middle and then stole second. Cassidy Miller followed with a single to left, making it 1-0.
- Two-batters later, Carly Nicholas knocked in Blumberg, who reached on a single to right, upping the lead to 2-0.
- Barry answered right back with three runs in the bottom half, highlighted by a two-run home run to center field for a 3-2 lead.
- However, Keiser capitalized on a pair of Barry errors in the second inning to tie the game at 3-3.
- After two scoreless innings, the Seahawks plated three runs in the fifth to retake a 6-3 advantage.
- Garceau led off with a double to right center and moved to third on a C. Miller sacrifice bunt. Blumberg then gave KU a 4-3 advantage with an RBI single to left field.
- Kelsie Thurman came in to pinch run for Blumberg and immediately stole second. Avery Miller then laced an 0-2 pitch into left field.
- After Barry recorded the second out of the inning, pinch hitter Aquaria Baines drilled an 0-2 pitch down the right field line, scoring A. Miller from third for the 6-3 lead.
- The Buccaneers matched the Seahawks in the bottom half with three-runs to retie the contest at 6-6.
- In the bottom of the seventh, with runners on first and second, and two-outs Alyssa Cabral made an amazing diving catch in center on a blooper to keep the game tied and send it into extra innings.
- Cabral was placed on second due to the international tiebreaker rule and moved to third on a Test sacrifice bunt. Figueroa then laced a single through the right side, to give KU the 7-6 advantage.
- However, a costly throwing error on Figueroa allowed Barry to tie the game at 7-7 and their leadoff hitter advanced all the way to third with nobody out.
- Head Coach Terri Knecht then opted to load the bases with two intentional walks but a passed ball allowed Barry to prevail 8-7.
