Match Summary
The No. 3 Keiser Men's Tennis squad cruised to the 5-2 victory over NCAA Division I Boston on Wednesday afternoon in Boca Raton, Fla., at Patch Reef Park. The two squads agreed to play doubles as one point prior to the match, thus making the contest to seven points. The Seahawks never trailed in the match, leading 1-0 after doubles play.
 
Doubles
  • Keiser began the doubles play with an 8-1 victory from the No. 3 spot as Arthur Bonnaud and Shaquille Taylor cruised past Jay Leelavanich and J.P. Avila.
  • The Seahawks clinched the NCAA doubles point from the No. 2 doubles slot as No. 12 Julian Turosienski and Romai Ugarte upended Jake De Vries and Mario Sandoval.
  • The No. 8 doubles tandem of Francesco Oliva and Clement Raymond battled toe-to-toe with Lucas Bombonatti and Satyajit Simhadri in the No. 1 doubles position, coming away with the 9-8(7-4) victory with the point already clinched.
 
Singles
  • Keiser took the 2-0 lead when Shaquille Taylor dominated J.P. Avila from the No. 6 singles spot, 6-1, 6-1.
  • The Seahawks pulled to within one of clinching the match when Bastien Sorg bested Jay Leelavanich from the No. 2 singles position, 6-4, 7-5.
  • No. 8 ranked Arthur Bonnaud clinched the match from the No. 4 singles position, downing Mario Sandoval in three sets, 6-3, 3-6, 6-2.
  • With Keiser ahead 4-0, the Seahawks won just one more singles contest as No. 19 Julian Turosienski downed Satyajit Simhadri in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3.
 
Coach's Corner
"Today was a solid win for the boys today," commented head coach Daniel Finn. "We did a great job of controlling the tempo from the beginning to the end. Our energy and level of focus were definitely high today and it showed in the important moments. We have another big tennis match ahead tomorrow, but today certainly feels good."

The Seahawks will return to action later this afternoon when Keiser takes on NCAA Division III St. Vincent at Patch Reef Park in Boca Raton, Fla.
