Game One
Keiser Highlights
  • Cassidy Miller and Troiana Test led the way at the plate with multi-hit performances.
  • Alyssa Cabral had the lone stolen base in the contest for the Seahawks.
  • Dajia Jones (1-1) suffered the loss despite throwing six innings with one strikeout. Riley Caylor picked up a pair of strikeouts in the seventh inning.
 
Turning Point
The turning point of the game in the first three innings as Thomas plated two runs in each inning to take a 6-0 advantage.
 
How it Happened
  • In the first, second, and third innings, the Nighthawks scored two runs each with two-outs for a quick 6-0 lead.
  • Cabral began the third inning with a single to short and moved to second on a groundout by Kelsey Brodbeck. After Cabral stole third, a throwing error on the catcher allowed her to score, making it 6-1.
  • The Seahawks added a run in the sixth on an Avery Miller double to right center, plating Jones who reached on a fielder's choice.
  • Keiser was unable to push a run across in the seventh inning, falling by the final of 6-2.
 
Game Two
Keiser Highlights
  • Kristen Garceau went a perfect 4-4 at the plate while the Seahawks racked up ten hits. Garceau also had the lone RBI for Keiser in the game.
  • Test had her second straight multi-hit game for the Seahawks.
  • Caylor threw a complete game with three strikeouts.
 
Turning Point
The turning point of the game came in the third innings when Thomas scored six runs to take a 6-0 advantage.
 
How it Happened
  • Thomas scored six runs on six hits in the third inning to take a 6-0 lead. The Seahawks had a chance to get on the board in the bottom half after Test and Aquaria Baines started the inning with singles.
  • After a strikeout, Garceau laced the first pitch she saw to center but Test was thrown out at home trying to score from second.
  • Keiser then got on the board in the fifth on a Garceau single to left, plating Test who led off with a single to left center, making it 6-1.
  • However, the Night Hawks scored a run in the sixth and seventh innings to win the game by a final of 8-1.
 

Up Next
The Seahawks return to action on Friday afternoon when they start a three game series against Southeastern University. First pitch is slated for 4:00 p.m.
