Game One
Keiser Highlights
Turning Point
The turning point in game one came in the bottom of the seventh inning when Figueroa drew a bases-loaded walk with no outs to spare, tying the contest at three apiece. After a walk and back-to-back singles loaded the bases with one out, Cassidy Miller popped up to the catcher to set up the dramatic finish. Figueroa then stepped in with two outs and drew the game-tying walk to give Keiser all of the momentum.

How it Happened
  • After a 1-2-3 top half of the first inning, Keiser scored two runs on one hit to take the early 2-0 lead after the first.
  • The first Keiser run came when Kelsey Brodbeck scored following a fielding error by the Cleary third baseman.
  • The second Seahawk run came on the very next at bat when Cassidy Miller recorded an RBI ground out to bring Kristen Garceau home from third for the 2-0 advantage.
  • The Cougars tied the game in the top of the second inning when Sierra Burke unloaded a two-run homerun to left center with nobody out.
  • Caylor settled down after the two-run shot to strike out two of the next three batters, inducing a ground out to end the second inning to keep the game tied at two apiece.
  • Both squads were then held scoreless until the top of the sixth inning when Cleary scored one run following a Burke sacrifice fly to right field, bringing Brooke Edmonds in for the go-ahead run.
  • The Seahawks tied the game up in the bottom of the seventh with two outs in the inning following Figueroa's RBI walk with the bases loaded to send the game into extra innings.
  • The drama was not done as Cleary loaded the bases in the top half of the eighth inning with nobody out but could not bring the go-ahead run in as Caylor and Williams teamed up to keep the run stranded at third.
  • Keiser then took advantage of the international rule in the bottom of the eighth which placed Avery Miller on second to open the frame.
  • After Cheyenne Blumberg laid down the sacrifice bunt to move Miller to third, Cabral ripped the game-winning walk-off single to right center to give Keiser the 4-3 victory.

Game Two
Keiser Highlights
  • Brodbeck finished game two going 1-1 with two walks, recording one of the two Keiser hits.
  • Kristen Garceau registered the other Seahawk hit, finishing the game hitting 1-2.

Turning Point
The turning point in game two was the pitching performance by Megan Robinette who hurled seven scoreless innings, yielding just two hits and recording two strikeouts.

How it Happened
  • Cleary wasted no time scoring in game two of Sunday's doubleheader, plating two runs on back-to-back singles in the opening inning.
  • Keiser had a chance to cut into the deficit in the bottom half of the first inning after drawing consecutive walks to open the inning.
  • However, the Seahawks were unable to plate their first run of the game after the next three Keiser batters flew out to end the threat.
  • Keiser then had another chance to cut into the deficit in the bottom of the second with runners on second and third with one out.
  • Aquaria Baines then ripped the ball to center field as Tara Smith made a great play to record the out and then double Test at second to end yet another Keiser threat.
  • The Seahawks would have another chance to plate their first run in the bottom of the third inning with runners on first and second and nobody out.
  • However, Cassidy Miller tagged a line drive to the hot corner that was snatched by Cheyenne Wallace who then threw back to second to double up Brodbeck.
  • Figueroa then harmlessly flew out to left field to end the Keiser half of the third inning.
  • Cleary then stretched its lead to 5-0 in the top of the fifth inning as the Cougars scored three runs on five hits.
  • The Cougars added the final insurance run in the top half of the sixth inning when Wallace doubled to left field to bring Edmonds in from first for the 6-0 lead.
