Men's Soccer Falls 5-3 To Warner On The Road

The Seahawks fell to Warner University Saturday night in Lake Wales 5-3, as the Royals capitalized on three second-half goals, with two of them coming in the final four minutes.

Turning Point
The turning point came in the 86th minute as Warner's Kenolson Collin scored to snap the 3-3 tie and win the game for the Royals.

How It Happened
  • The Seahawks struck first in the ninth minute of play as Jake Stanton scored off a pass from Thomas Dawson.
  • However, Warner responded with two goals to take a 2-1 lead into the half.
  • Coming out of the break, Dawson needed just two minutes to score the equalizer. 
  • Keiser had an opportunity to take the lead in the 59th minute courtesy of a corner kick, but the Warner goalkeeper kept the game tied at two.  
  • In the 69th minute, the Royals jumped back ahead 3-2, as James Feehan found the back of the net.
  • With the Seahawks playing a man-down for 12 seconds, Connor Doogan tied the game yet again on an unassisted goal in the 80th minute.
  • The Royals answered with two goals of their own in the final four minutes of regulation to seal the 5-3 victory.

  • Keiser falls to 6-6-2 all-time vs Warner.
  • The Seahawks are now 2-2 on the road this season.
  • Stanton and Amine Meski led the Seahawks offense with a pair of shots apiece.
  • Seven Seahawks played all 90 minutes of the match.
  • Lee Clark made three saves in goal.
