Men's Soccer Falls in TSC Semifinal 2-1 to Southeastern in OT

The #5 Keiser University men's soccer team fell in overtime to #1 Southeastern 2-1 on Sunday morning in the Sun Conference semifinal. The game was scheduled for yesterday but was postponed to this morning due to weather.

The Seahawks struck first in the 16th minute when Defensive Player of the Year Shane McInerney headed in a corner from Nicholas Guillen to lead 1-0. Keiser continued pressuring the Fire outshooting them 5-3 but the score remained the same heading into the break.

Southeastern grabbed the equalizer in the 60th minute when Luke Marchesani scored making it 1-1. The Fire held a 10-2 edge on shots in the half but the Seahawks defense held strong sending the game into overtime.

The Fire carried their momentum into overtime finding the back of the net in the 97th minute winning the game 2-1.

Keiser was outshot 16-7 and 5-3 with shots on goal. McInerney led the way with three shots, while Shoval Failer and Thomas Dawson had two apiece. Luke Edgecombe made three saves in goal.
