DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.- Three members of the Northwood University (Fla.) men's soccer team received All Sun-Conference nominations in an announcement from the league office at the conference banquet, held at Saint Thomas University Thursday night.

Junior forward Marcus Johansson (Halmstad, Sweden) and junior midfielder Olli Isosalo (Helsinki, Finland) were named to the All-Conference First Team. Johansson led the conference with 17 goals, adding four assists amassing 38 points on the season. Isosalo dished out a conference-high 10 assists in the 2012 season, with two goals, for 14 points.

Senior defender Victor Lindstrom was the recipient of the 2012 Sun Conference Champion of Character Award. The Malmo, Sweden native played in nine games for the Seahawks and garnered three goals on the year. Lindstrom came back from a two-year recovery from a horrific injury and was a vital part of the team both on and off the field. The senior's contributions extend well beyond the soccer field and are more than worthy of this award.

Northwood will face top-seeded St. Thomas University, led by Player of the Year winner Jhonthan Rico, in their semi-final game of the Sun Conference tournament Friday at 2:30 p.m. The winner of the contest will play the winner of the game between Embry-Riddle and Florida Memorial.
