Gavin Oldham

Gavin Oldham is entering his ninth season as the Head Men’s Soccer coach at Keiser University. Oldham has led the Seahawks to five regular season Championships and three conference tournament championships.

Oldham’s Opening
  • Guided the Seahawks to their first NAIA National Championship in 2021
  • Honored as the 2022 Palm Beach Sports Commission and NAIA Coach of the Year
  • Part of the 2022 United Soccer Coaches National Staff of the Year
  • Led Keiser to back-to-back Regular Season Championships (2019/2020), including their first-ever in 2019
  • Aided in winning the 2019, 2022, and the 2023 Sun Conference Tournament Championship
  • Also guided the Seahawks to the 2024 regular season crown
  • Named the Sun Conference Coach of the Year in 2020 after going unbeaten in the regular season
  • Appeared in seven NAIA National Tournaments
  • Coached three Sun Conference Player of the Year and four Sun Conference Freshman of the Year, with one Defensive Player of the Year
  • Yielded 43 All-Conference players and 25 NAIA All-Americans
  • Off the field, 42 players have earned Academic All-Conference honors while 14 players have received NAIA Scholar-Athlete recognition
2024
  • Led Seahawks to 2024 Sun Conference Regular Season title
  • Coached 10 All-Sun Conference selections
  • Four Seahawks were chosen to the CSC Academic All-District team
  • Finished with a 9-4-3 record, his eighth consecutive winning season at Keiser

2023
  • Led Keiser to their second straight 2023 SUN tournament championship
  • Coached six All-Conference selections
  • Three Seahawks were selected to the CSC Academic All-District team
  • Finished with a 12-4-6 record, going 10-1-3 in conference play

2022
  • Named 2022 SUN Coach of the Year
  • Earned his 70th win of his career
  • Led Keiser to the Regular Season Champions and won the 2022 SUN Tournament
  • Coached the Sun Conference Player of the Year, Freshman of the Year, and the Sun Conference Tournament MVP
  • Finished with an overall record of 13-1-3 and 7-1 in conference
  • Had nine All-Conference members with six on the first team
  • Coached five NAIA Honorable Mention All-Americans
2021
  • Led the Seahawks to the program's first-ever NAIA National Championship with a 2-0 win over Mobile in the final game
  • Named the 2021 NAIA Coach of the Year
  • His staff was named the NAIA Coaching Staff of the Year
  • Finished with an overall record of 16-3-1 and 6-1-1 mark in conference
  • Coached three NAIA All-Americans with two earning First Team honors
  • Had seven All-Conference members including three on the first team

2020*
  • Advanced to the NAIA Quarterfinals, falling to No. 4 Missouri Valley in penalty kicks
  • Won the West Palm Beach Opening Round with back-to-back shutouts
  • Coached Keiser to back-to-back Sun Conference Regular Season Championships
  • Went a perfect 12-0-0 overall during the fall regular season
  • Split with the University of Mobile during the spring portion of the regular season schedule
  • Claimed the top-seed in the conference tournament for a second consecutive season
  • Advanced to the tournament championship, falling to St. Thomas
  • Named the Sun Conference Coach of the Year for the first time
  • Aided in the Sun Conference Player of the Year (Adrian Camacho Castro)
  • Had a conference-best eight players named to the All-Conference team including seven on the First Team
  • Coached seven NAIA All-Americans
  • Ranked a program-best No. 5 in the final NAIA poll
  • Set season program records for points (190), goals (70), shutouts (8), wins (16), and fewest losses (2)

2019
  • Led the Seahawks to the program's first Sun Conference Regular Season Championship
  • Claimed the Sun Conference Tournament Championship
  • Boasted a 12-6-1 overall record, including a 7-2-0 mark in Sun Conference matches
  • Keiser went 6-1-1 on their home field
  • Went 1-1 at the NAIA Opening Round, defeating Campbellsville, 3-2, in double overtime
  • Coached the Sun Conference Freshman of the Year for a second straight season
  • Aided in five Seahawks earning All-Conference recognition
  • Had four players earn NAIA All-American honors
  • Nine players earned Academic All-Conference honors and four gained NAIA Scholar Athlete honors
 
2018
  • Notched 11 wins on the season, including six in Sun Conference play
  • Coached the Sun Conference Player and Freshman of the Year, Ciro Damine
  • Three TSC First Team honors and four Honorable Mention honorees
  • Had one NAIA All-American and two All-Region players
  • Off the field, had one TSC Academic All-Conference winner and one NAIA Scholar Athlete
  • Second in the NAIA in assists per game (3.65) and sixth in goals per game (3.71), and total assists (62)
  • Recorded 59 goals and 56 assists on the year, both were the most in school history
  • Damine ranked second in goals per game (1.44), third in points per game (3.25), fourth in total goals (23), and fifth in total points (52). In addition, his total goals were tops in program history
  • The Seahawks set five game records against Trinity including; goals (16), assists (15), points (47), shots (51), and shots on goal (30)
 
2017
  • Finished the season with eight wins, including six Sun Conference victories
  • Fell in the Second Round of the NAIA National Tournament against No. 1 Oklahoma Wesleyan
  • Defeated the 14th ranked team in the NAIA, Spring Arbor, 3-1, at home on Aug. 30
  • Led the Seahawks to the conference championship game, falling to No. 13 St. Thomas, 1-0
  • Coached a total of five TSC All-Conference players including; one First Team, two Second Team, and two Honorable Mentions
  • Off the field, six players earned Academic All-Conference honors and three were named NAIA Scholar Athletes
  
Pre-Keiser
Prior to his arrival at Keiser, Oldham spent five seasons as the Head Coach at Northwestern Ohio, and seven seasons as an Assistant at Lindsey Wilson College. Oldham has coached 30 NAIA All-American selections in addition to 14 NAIA Academic All-Americans. He has coached 38 WHAC All-Conference members, and was a finalist for the NAIA Coach of the Year in 2014.
 
Playing Career
Oldham played four years at Lindsey Wilson, winning two National Championships and was named NAIA National Tournament MVP in 2001. Oldham was a two-time NAIA All-American, while also being named the Most Outstanding Defender at the 2000 National Tournament.
 
Personal
Oldham resides in Royal Palm Beach, Fla. with his wife Danielle, son Jayce and daughters Ella and Isla.
