Brandon Miller

Brandon Miller is entering his 15th season as the Head Men’s and Women’s Golf coach at Keiser University. During Miller’s time at the helm, the Seahawks have collected 94 tournament championships, 14 Sun Conference Championships, and five NAIA National Championships.

  • Led the men's team to their first NAIA National Championship in 2022
  • Guided the women's team to four NAIA National Championships (2015, 2016, 2021, 2024)
  • Won the 2015 national tournament by 22-strokes, 2016 by 11-strokes, 2021 by 19-strokes, the 2022 by three strokes, and the 2024 title by 16 strokes
  • Instructed Jakob Stavang Stubhaug to the first men's individual National Championship in 2022
  • Coached Michela Tjan to the programs first individual National Championship in 2019
  • Guided Hoi Ki Lau to the school's second individual National Championship is 2024
  • Claimed 11 Sun Conference Championships on the women’s side and three on the men's side
  • Coached 11 Sun Conference Golfer of the Year and eight Freshman of the Year
  • Named NAIA Coach of the Year on five occasions
  • Tabbed Sun Conference Coach of the Year seven times
  • Aided in 95 NAIA All-Americans, 91 SUN All-Conference golfers and 93 NAIA Academic All-Americans

2024-25
  • Was named the winner of the  the Jackie Steinmann WGCA National Coach of the Year Presented by Golf Pride award for the third time in his career (2020, 2021, 2024) 
  • Led the women's team to its fifth National Championship, winning the Red Banner by 16 strokes
  • Guided the men's team to a third-place finish in the NAIA National Championship Tournament
  • Led the women to their second straight Sun Conference title
  • Named the SUN Women's Golf Coach of the Year for the third straight season
  • Led the men to 11 top-5 finishes, including five tournament titles and the women to 11 top-5 finishes and four tournament crowns
  • The Seahawks produced a combined 14 all-Americans 
  • Hoi Ki Lau was named the NAIA PING Women's National Player of the Year
  • Isac Wallin became the second Seahawk to earn the NAIA Jack Nicklaus Award presented by Workday
  • Wallin also won the inaugural Gary Player International Golfer of the Year Award presented by FlightScope
  • Coached a total of nine all-conference selections, including the SUN Women's Freshman of the Year (Mohea Mansbendel) and the SUN Men's Golfer of the Year (Isac Wallin)

2022-23
  • Was a finalist for the 2023 Dave Williams Award presented by Golf Pride Grips
  • Led both the men's and women's programs to top-3 finishes in the NAIA National Championship - women finished second, men finished third
  • Guided the Seahawks to the No. 1 ranking in the NAIA and the 2023 Sun Conference Men's Golf title
  • Helped the women's golf team to its seventh Sun Conference title
  • Named the SUN Men's Golf Coach of the Year for the third straight season
  • Led the men to 10 top-5 finishes and the women to eight
  • The men won six tournament tiles while the women claimed four
  • Coached 10 all-conference selections
  • Coached the Sun Conference Golfers of the Year (Isac Wallin and Hoi Ki Lau)
  • Lau became the first Keiser women's golfer to win both SUN POTY and Freshman of the Year honors in the same season.

2021-22
  • Men's team won their first NAIA National Championship by three strokes
  • Named the NAIA Men’s National Coach of the Year, Dave Williams Coach of the Year, and Sun Conference Coach of the Year for both men's and women's golf
  • Guided Jakob Stavang Stubhaug to the men's programs first individual National Championship, the Jack Nicklaus Award, and was also named the NAIA Phil Mickelson Outstanding Freshman 
  • Women's team finished tied for eighth at the NAIA National Championship 
  • Michela Tjan was named the Sun Conference Golfer of the Year while Carolin Alblas was named Sun Conference Freshman of the Year
  • Six men's golfers collected NAIA All-American honors and four women garnered NAIA All-American honors
  • Gained four GCAA PING All-Americans and three WGCA All-Americans
  • Earned a conference-best six All-Conference selections on the men's side and four on the women's side

2020-21
  • Women’s team won their third NAIA National Championship by 19-strokes
  • Miller was tabbed the NAIA Women’s National Coach of the Year and Sun Conference Coach of the Year
  • Men’s team came in third at the National Championship which was their best finish in program history
  • Led the women’s team to the Sun Conference Championship while Michela Tjan was named TSC Golfer of the Year after winning the tournament
  • Lucas Cena claimed the men’s Sun Conference Tournament Championship with the men coming in second
  • Coached Javier Neira Garcia to the NAIA Phil Mickelson Outstanding Freshman of the Year and TSC Freshman of the Year awards
  • Two women and two men were named to the NAIA All-Tournament team
  • Collected a conference-best five All-Conference awards on the women’s side and six on the men’s
  • Had five men and women boast NAIA All-American honors

2019-20
  • The Seahawks season was season was cancelled on 3/16/20 due to COVID 19
  • Named the WGCA and GCAA NAIA National Coach of the Year
  • Coached five WGCA All-Americans on the women's side and four on the men's side
  • Aided in the NAIA Freshman of the Year for both teams (Wilhelm Ahlgren and Emma-Lee Torstensson)
  • The women’s team opened the fall season with back-to-back wins and went on to win their spring opener
  • The men started the year with a victory and went on to win four more tournaments, finishing the year with a program-best five
  • The Seahawks men’s team had four individual winners while the women had three
  • Coached the women’s team to a pair of No. 1 rankings in the NAIA poll while the men remained second during the entire season
  • Off the course, five men and four women earned Academic All-Conference honors
  • Two men and one women garnered NAIA Scholar Athlete recognition

2018-19
  • Led the women’s to the Sun Conference Championship at PGA National (302-298-293)
  • Helped the women’s team to a runner-up finish at the NAIA National Championship
  • Coached Michela Tjan to the programs first individual National Championship
  • Guided the men’s team to a third place finish at conference and a fourth place finish at nationals
  • Coached the women’s team to six tournament wins, tying the program record
  • Named the Sun Conference Women’s Golf Coach of the Year and was a finalist for the Dave Williams National Coach of the Year on the men’s side
  • Samantha Fuller was named the Sun Conference Player of the Year while Tjan was recognized as the Freshman of the Year
  • Fuller claimed the 2019 Sun Conference Championship
  • Carl Didrik Meen Fosaas earned the Sun Conference Freshman of the Year after winning the TSC Championship in a playoff
  • The women boasted six All-Conference awards and the men garnered five
  • For All-Americans, the women received five awards while the men gained four
  • Coached Fuller to a No. 1 ranking in the NAIA at the end of the season, the highest in program history
  • Aided in Tjan setting the program record for birdies in a season (98) and the team also broke the record with 353
  • Fuller set the lowest 54-hole total (-4) and Tjan set the lowest 72-hole total (-4)
  • Fosaas became the program leader in eagles (8) while the team finished with a program-best 22
  • Fosaas set the lowest 54-hole total (-7) while the team recorded the best mark at Battle at Primm (-8)
 
2017-18
  • Men’s team finished as the runner-up during the Sun Conference Championship and the women took third
  • Named a finalist for the Dave Williams Coach of the Year award
  • Michaela Fabiankova was named the Sun Conference Player of the Year and earned a pair of tournament titles as a freshman
  • Samantha Fuller earned Sun Conference Freshman of the Year honors
  • Four men and four women earned NAIA All-American recognition
  • Five women and four men received TSC All-Conference honors
  • Jack Dyer had the programs best finish at the NAIA National Championship with a runner-up performance
  • Liam Gransden was recognized on the NAIA All-Freshman squad, a first in program history
  • The men turned in a program-best, fifth place finish at the NAIA National Championship at TPC Deere Run
  • Dyer set the school record for scoring average on the year (72.03), and par or better rounds (20)
  • Fabiankova set the school record for lowest 54-hole score (215/-1) at the Lady Panther Invitational
  • Miller’s men’s team set the school record for the lowest round (273/-15) at the Roadrunner Classic, 54-hole score (835/-5) at Battle at Primm, and 72-hole score (1144/+8) at the NAIA National Championship
  • Set new school mark for Par 3 scoring with a 3.14 on the men’s side
 
2016-17
  • Women’s team won their third consecutive Sun Conference Championship at Grasslands Country Club (300-308-300)
  • Named the Sun Conference Women’s Golf Coach of the Year and was a finalist for the Dave Williams National Coach of the Year on the men’s side
  • Rebecka Holmstrom was named Sun Conference Player of the Year and won the NAIA Golfstat Cup
  • Caroline Retabi claimed the Sun Conference individual championship
  • Four golfers were named All-Sun Conference and NAIA All-Americans
  • Elsa Westin earned three tournament victories on the season, totaling to 13 career tournament titles
  • Three golfers named WGCA All-American scholars
  • Set a new school women’s record with a team score of (+1), 289, at Battle at Primm in Las Vegas
  • Men’s team claimed three tournament wins on the season.
  • Eighth place finish at the NAIA National Championship, marked the best in school history
  • Cameron Moralee was named the Sun Conference Newcomer of the Year, PING GCAA First Team All-American, NAIA First Team All-American, GCAA NAIA All-Freshmen Team, and All-Sun Conference
  • Erik Jonasson was named PING GCAA Third Team All-American, NAIA 2nd Team All-American, and All-Sun Conference
  • Toby Graves was named Sun Conference Champion of Character Award Winner
  • Two golfers were named Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholars
  • Earned the GCAA All-Academic Team award presented by Farmers Insurance

2015-16
  • Women’s team won their second consecutive NAIA National Championship at Savannah Quarters Country Club. Elsa Westin placed second individually at one-under par and was named to the All-Tournament Team along with teammate Rebecka Holmstrom
  • Miller was named the NAIA National Coach of the Year for the second time in his career
  • Held No. 1 ranking for ten consecutive weeks and was ranked an NAIA best 87 times
  • Women’s team claimed their second consecutive Sun Conference Championship at Kinderlou Forest (308-302-300) by a staggering 39-stroke margin
  • Elsa Westin was named Sun Conference Player of the Year and won the NAIA Golfstat Cup both her second consecutive. Westin also won the Sun Conference individual title (76-75-69)
  • Caroline Retabi claimed the individual title at the NAIA Fall Preview (70-75) to win by three
  • Four women were named NAIA All-Americans
  • Women’s Team GPA of 3.813 ranked third out of all teams and all divisions of college golf
  • Sabrina Schloo was named the Dr. LeRoy Walker Sun Conference Award Winner
  • Charlie Stubbs was named the Sun Conference Champion of Character Award Winner
  • Ten total team tournament wins on the season, most in one season in program history
  • The men's fall season saw four different individuals claim medalist honors
  • Held the No. 1 ranking through the fall season and ended the year with a program best ranking of fourth
  • Set new school record with (-21) team score at Kinderlou Forest
  • 14th place finish at NAIA National Championship at TPC Deere Run.

2014-15
  • Women’s team won the NAIA National Championship by a staggering 22 strokes. Westin finished second individually and was named to the All-Tournament Team along with two teammates.
  • Brandon Miller was named the NAIA Women’s National Coach of the Year, and Sun Conference Coach of the Year. He was also a Palm Beach County Coach of the Year finalist
  • Held the No. 1 ranking for the entire season while winning five regular events, including the Sun Conference Championship
  • Westin won the Sun Conference individual title (68-73-76) and was named Sun Conference Player of the Year
  • All five NAIA National Championship starters were named NAIA All-Americans
  • Westin, in her freshmen campaign won six events on the season and shattered all school scoring records with low 18-hole round of 66, low 36-hole total of (-7), and a stroke average of 72.08 after 25 rounds
  • Westin claimed the NAIA Golfstat Cup and ended the year as the No. 10 ranked player in all divisions of college golf
  • Women’s team scoring average of 302.44 after 25 rounds, set the single season school record
  • Women’s GPA of 3.693 ranked 14th out of all teams and divisions in college golf
  • Men’s team was ranked as high as No. 13. Two golfers were named All-Sun Conference, PING GCAA All-South Region
  • Three players were named NAIA All-Americans and one earned PING GCAA All-American honors
  • Aberg was named the Sun Conference Champion of Character Award winner and earned Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar honors
  • GCAA All-Academic Team presented by Farmers Insurance
 
2013-14
  • The men had four player earn GCAA PING All-South Region honors
  • Aberg was named Third Team GCAA PING All-American and his 72.83 season stroke average is the standing school single season record
  • The men won an all NCAA D1 field at Harmony Intercollegiate in March, setting the school record for score after 54-holes at, ten under par
  • Men’s team season scoring average of 292.57 after 30 rounds is the school single season record
  • Four women were named All-Conference and NAIA All-Americans.
  • Michaela Johansson and Paulina Bergbom had individual wins on the season
 
2012-13
  • The men and women had a combined six team tournament wins on the season
  • Jacques Ungerer was named All-Sun Conference after picking up two individual wins
  • Louis Hirst finished the year as the top freshmen in the Sun Conference.
  • The entire freshmen class ended the year as the No. 1 ranked class in the nation
  • The men were named GCAA All-Academic Team presented by Farmers Insurance
  • Tarah Winfield was named All-Sun Conference, NAIA All-American, and NAIA National Championship All-Tournament team for the women.
  • Winfield’s 85.4% tournament finish percentage ranks fifth all time for the Seahawks
  • The women finished 14th in the NAIA National Championship.
 
2011-12
  • Brett McCurdy earned an individual birth at the NAIA National Championship in Salem, Oregon. McCurdy finished t23 (73-77-70-79) and was named First Team GCAA PING All-American and NAIA All-American
  • Two men were named GCAA Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-American Scholars, All-Sun Conference, and PING All-South Region.
  • McCurdy’s 73.00 season stroke average ranks third all time for the Seahawks
  • The men’s team earned their first national ranking in Miller’s tenure, reaching No. 3 in the fall and finishing the season No. 16 in the final poll
  • Two women were named All-Sun Conference as the team finished second in the Sun Conference Championship
  • Andersson was named an All-American after the team finished ninth at the NAIA National Championship
 
2010-11
  • In his first season, Miller led the women to a Sun Conference Championship, and an eighth place finish in the NAIA National Championship
  • Melanie Roux and Emelie Andersson were named All-Sun Conference and All-Americans
  • The men’s team finished seventh in the Sun Conference and two players were named All-Sun Conference
  • Van Eck fired an opening round 66 at the Sun Conference Championship, the round ranks as the third lowest round in school history

Pre-Keiser
Prior to Keiser, Miller spent two years as the Assistant Men’s and Women’s Golf Coach at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. In his two seasons, Miller coached three NCAA DII All-Americans and four NCAA Academic All-Americans.
 
Miller played golf for four seasons at NCAA DII Florida Tech in the Sunshine State Conference. Off the course, he served on the Student Athlete Advisory Committee.
 
Personal
Miller earned his BS in Business Administration from Florida Tech in 2008 and his MA in Physical Education from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke in 2010.
