Named the Sun Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in his career
Led Keiser to a 31-27 win at No. 6 St. Thomas on Saturday
The sophomore caught four passes for 142 yards and two touchdowns as the Seahawks extended the nation's longest winning streak to 15 games
Vangates' first TD catch was a 55-yard connection from quarterback Shea Spencer to give Keiser a 17-0 lead fewest in Keiser history
The second of his two scores proved to be the game-winner as Spencer toss a pass to Vangates, who shook of the defender, ran down the sideline, and got into the endzone for the go-ahead score with just over five minutes left in the game
His number of receptions, yards receiving, and number of touchdowns were all career highs
He also set the school record for yards receiving in a game with his performance versus the Bobcats
He also added 49 yards on kick returns
On the year, Vangates has registered 10 catches for 229 yards and three TDs
