The No. 14 ranked Keiser University women's soccer team has signed Kyoka Koshijma to a letter of intent, as announced by head coach
Mat Dunn.
Koshijma hails from Kanazawa City, Japan, where she competed at Sakuyo High School. She was a member of the national training squad since the age of 12 while serving as the captain of the Seiryo PEL squad.
In 2016, she led her team to a second place finish at the Interscholastic Athletic competition and was named to the best eight for the All-Japan High School tournament.
The following year, Koshijma led her team to the National Menuma Cup championship and was named the MVP of the tournament. In addition, she helped her team to a runner-up finish at the All-Japan HS tournament and a third-place finish at the Interscholastic Athletic competition.
This past season for Keiser, Dunn was named Coach of the Year for the East Region for the second consecutive season following an 18-2-1 overall record. Dunn led the Seahawks to their 12th regular season Sun Conference Championship, including 11th in a row, in addition to the program's fourth Sun Conference Tournament Championship.
